The Saginaw Diocese has always been home to Fr. Bill. He grew up on a dairy farm near Ubly and was active in his home parish of St. Mary, currently, St. Isidore Parish, Parisville. His priestly formation took place at St. Mary College, Orchard Lake, MI, where he received his B.A. in Philosophy in 1983, followed by studies at St. John Provincial Seminary, Plymouth, MI, where he received his Masters of Divinity Degree in 1987. He was ordained by Bishop Ken Untener on November 1, 1987. Since his ordination, Fr. Bill has served at Blessed Sacrament Parish, Midland; St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, Bay City; St. Stephen Parish, Saginaw; St. Vincent de Paul, Shepherd, and St. Leo the Great Parish, Winn; St. Cecelia Parish, Clare; St. Henry/St. Charles Parish, Rosebush/Leaton; and St. Philip Neri/St. Anne Parish, Coleman/Edenville.

Fr. Bill currently serves as Pastor of St. John Paul II Parish, Carrollton and Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Saginaw. He will retain his position as Vicar General and Director of Seminarians. Besides serving on various Diocesan Boards, Fr. Bill serves on the CCFMM Board as the Bishop’s Liaison to the Foundation.

“There is a driving desire in many Catholics to utilize their God-given resources to do good for others and thus fulfill their mission as a disciple of Jesus. The CCFMM is a great catalyst by which their resources can achieve this end. Being on the CCFMM Board gives me a part in bringing it all together so that the mission of the Church can be steadily fulfilled in our Diocese.”
