Our Catholic Schools: St. Joseph the Worker

With its treasured tradition of Catholic education dating back to 1883, St. Joseph the Worker Elementary School principal Mary Hauck is very enthusiastic about the educational assistance provided by the Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan.

“With funds provided by the Foundation, we were able to start a tuition assistance program for our students, allowing families in need to provide for the academic and spiritual growth of their children,” Mrs. Hauck said.

St. Joseph the Worker Elementary School in Beal City has an enrollment of 90 students in grades K-6, and students benefit from small classes and close personal attention. The school employs 8 dedicated teachers and 5 qualified staff members who are committed to their students’ educational growth and development.

Mrs. Hauck is excited to be working with the Catholic Foundation to promote/build the St. Joseph the Worker CCFMM Fund which will help grow teacher salaries. “It is important to attract and retain good teachers in order to continue offering a quality education,” she said. “We are a close Catholic community that truly values Catholic education.”
