Supporting the Life of Unborn Children

“…through the endowment fund, we are able to live a legacy of love and faith, providing security and stability for families.” – Terri Grierson

For those who are struggling financially, deciding to bring a new life into the world is a loving but tough decision. Through the Mother Teresa Fund, the Foundation enables people to connect with God’s heart for children, by supporting pregnant women and families who have recently had a child.

Support for pregnant women and new mothers takes many forms, from helping with overdue utility bills to purchasing portable cribs for transient families and providing safe sleep training. The Foundation works with parishes and crisis pregnancy centers to resolve issues that could put a new mother or child at risk for hunger, homelessness, or lack of medical care.

“A few years back we heard from the manager of a local motel that his customers, a young couple with an infant had run out of money. They had no food, no diapers, no jobs, nowhere to go. We worked with our community partners to get them back on their feet, finding them a job and an apartment. This is an example of how, through the endowment fund, we are able to live a legacy of love and faith, providing security and stability for families,” says Terri Grierson, Director of Christian Service for the Diocese of Saginaw.
